Mass Transit
Mass transit allows the player to more efficiently transport his or her sims around the city and around the region.
Mass transit improves traffic flow and prevents traffic congestion.
Types of Mass Transit
Buses

Buses transport low and medium wealth Sims around your city and neighboring cities. They reduce traffic congestion by reducing the number of cars on the road.
Streetcars
- Main article: Streetcars
Streetcars transport low and medium wealth Sims around the city. They reduce traffic congestion by reducing the number of cars on the road.
- Streetcars can only travel on High Density Streetcar Avenues
Trains
- Main article: Trains
Trains transport low and medium wealth Sims and tourists into and out of the city.
- Trains require existing rail access.
Boats
- Main article: Boats
Boats transport medium and high wealth Sims and tourists into and out of the city.
- Boats require existing port access.
Planes
- Main article: Planes
Planes transport medium and high wealth tourists into and out of the city. Additionally they carry freight out of the city.
