===Surveying for Resources===
Before constructing your city, use the data maps to locate the [[commodities|resource]] deposits, water aquifer and [[wind]] direction of your site. You can access various data maps through the tab at the bottom right side of your screen.
The water data map button reveals the city's water table. The darker blue an area is the more water is contains.
The coal, ore and oil data map buttons reveal the city's underground deposits. The darker an area is the more resource it contains.
